City of Redding Parks & Rec

The City of Redding Parks & Recreation Department provides recreational programs, sports leagues, parks, trails, camps, aquatic activities, and community events for residents of all ages in Redding, California. The department focuses on affordable, family-friendly recreation opportunities that promote health, outdoor activity, community engagement, and quality of life throughout the region.

East Redding Little League

East Redding Little League is a nonprofit youth baseball and softball organization serving more than 400 families in the Redding area. The league offers programs for ages 5–16 focused on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, volunteer involvement, and competitive yet family-oriented play through seasonal leagues, tournaments, clinics, and All-Star opportunities.

West Redding Little League

West Redding Little League is a nonprofit youth baseball and softball organization serving the North State community since 1993. The league offers programs for players ages 4–16, along with tournaments, clinics, volunteer opportunities, fundraising events, and seasonal registration information that promote teamwork, sportsmanship, community involvement, and family participation.

Shasta Cal Ripken

Shasta Cal Ripken Baseball is a youth baseball organization serving Redding and Shasta County with programs for players ages 4–12. The league focuses on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, clinics, tournaments, and community involvement while providing recreational and competitive baseball opportunities in a positive, family-friendly environment.

Redding Junior Giants

The Redding Junior Giants program is a free, non-competitive co-ed baseball/softball league for youth ages 5 to 13. Hosted locally by Redding Recreation, the season typically runs from June through August, and all necessary equipment and uniforms are provided completely free of charge. The league relies heavily on volunteer coaches and team parents to make the season possible.

Shasta Baseball League

The Shasta Baseball League is an adult recreational baseball organization serving Shasta County and Northern California. Founded in 2018, the league offers competitive play for adults ages 18 and older while promoting community involvement, teamwork, sportsmanship, and local partnerships through seasonal games, playoffs, and baseball development opportunities.

Redding Colt 45’s

The Redding Colt 45s are a summer collegiate baseball team based at historic Tiger Field in Redding. The organization provides competitive baseball, youth camps, community events, and family-friendly entertainment while helping collegiate athletes develop leadership, sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth in a fan-focused minor league atmosphere.
